I wanted to cover my terrace and had to submit a file on this work to the town hall for approval, especially as, being within a historic monument protection area, the Architectes des Bâtiments de France (the state heritage architects) had to give their opinion. In May 2022, our intermunicipal authority (communauté de communes) began a pre-operational study aimed at improving housing across its area. Throughout this study, we were supported by the Villes Vivantes consultancy which, through its project manager, proved available, responsive, diligent and full of ideas. The consultancy kept to the agreed timetable. In both the assessment and the proposed solutions, Villes Vivantes’ own methodology made it possible to respond effectively and innovatively to the issues facing our area, complementing traditional schemes. All of this led to an ambitious housing improvement programme that satisfies the elected officials and will effectively address the housing issue in the area.
